FALL RALLY
2007
September 15, 2007
The Dixie Bikefest Fall Rally kicked off Friday, September 14, 2007 to a great crowd. Despite heavy rains in the afternoon, many were on hand to enjoy a weekend of motorcycle related events.
I waited until Saturday afternoon to attend, arriving about 2:30. There were about 100 on site when I arrived, with more arriving, at a steady flow.
Webmasters: Feel free to use any of my pictures under two conditions.
1) Notify me of the site where they will be used.
2) Give credit to Bud Cranford for these pictures.

I arrived late, missing the judging of the Bike Show. |
A Nice looking "Custom", raising the question of whether this is a Custom or a Chopper.
Most people I talked to agreed it wasn't a Chopper unless it started out as a stock bike, customized and "chopped". |

The Slow Ride Competition |
The crowd enjoys the various events |
|
|
Slow Ride Double event.
It's even harder to ride slowly carrying a passenger.
|
Keg Rolling
Rolling a beer keg with your front wheel is a real challenge. Especially since the design of the keg makes it want to roll in circles.
|
|
|
Grabbing Fuzzy Balls
The object was for the rider to go slow enough and close enough to the traffic cones for the passenger to pick up the tennis balls.
Then return, so she could replace the balls.
|
T.P. Pickup
The lady holds a roll of toilet paper between her legs and the man, a bathroom plunger.
The object is to put the handle of the plunger through the hole in the paper roll, picking it up and return to the starting line.
|
|
|
Water Balloon Toss
The rider tosses a water balloon over the string and tries to catch it without dousing herself or the rider.
|
Weenie Biting
The rider attempts to bite the weenie without pulling it off the fork it is hanging from.
The one taking the biggest bite, wins.
