Family Tree Maker has some excellent CD's for researching your Family Tree.  Below are the entries that may pertain to the Cranford Line from their disk titled "Early North Carolina Settlers (1700-1900)" on the Family Tree maker disk # 524.

This is by no means the Complete CD.  It only covers those parts that may have been Cranfords by the various spellings and Misspellings of our name.  Since one respected Genealogist has stated that Cranford is a misspelling of Crawford, I have included the references to CRAWFORD, just in case these shed light on some of the missing CRANFORDS.

The spellings I chose were Craford, Crafford, Croford, Crofford, Crawford Craneford, and, of course, Cranford.

Apparently a Will attested by William Crafford.  These dates puzzle me as I do not know of any of my ancestors by that name being involved in the court system in any capacity at this time.  Id this Wm, Crafford is of my line, it would have to be the son of Duplin John and who later with his brother John went to Georgia.

Possibly this Crafford is actually a Crawford?
